Prof.C. S. Dubey Director Complete Profile

World over the Universities are facing disruption and innovation on teaching and learning pedagogues. In India online learning is a disruptive technology that is making colleges and Universities reconsider their Higher Education Models. Indian Universities like Delhi University has long tradition of having the best of the best of Talented Faculty and students but certainly in long term the disruption may take place due to slow processes, non-digital pedagogues, and more time for theoretical rather than for experiential learning in the classrooms. Disruptive innovation requires education to be less expensive, user friendly and available to all in a self-paced mode which can be only available through online digital pedagogues such as Flipped class rooms, SPOCs (Small Private online courses) and still shorter Micro credentials. The option of choosing self-paced and re-bundling of short courses and when that day comes, the traditional degree college experience could be considered as "old-fashioned and elitist" as a debutante ball. While no one is sure of a date by which this unbundling of higher education will take place, it offers clues to help us recognize its inevitable arrival by 2020's when Big data and Digital Technology will be game changers e.g. Li fi in place of Wi Fi (speed of Internet in Gigabytes), Internet of Things, Wearable for Virtual reality, DNA mapping and 3D printing etc. ILLL is helping Universities upgrade faculty and infrastructure with latest web tools for teaching and learning and go to a blended online learning or flipping the class room where we have more E material, Audio and Video lectures on line and more case studies, projects and practical experiential learning at very fast pace for Disruption through online and virtual learning pedagogues. As we are one of the first to disrupt from an offline to online preparation of E-contents and e-lectures, We have started preparing for Flipping the class by on line and recorded lectures, E material and giving more time to discussions, case studies and project oriented learning to students of Delhi and other Universities.
