Since its inception the ILLL has been committed to upgrading knowledge of advanced learners in the fields of ICT, creation of e-contents and discipline centric courses. The advanced learners are not merely teachers but also heads of various institutions who need to adapt themselves to the use of ICT to facilitate teaching and administration. The Department of Social Work, University of Delhi, in collaboration with the Institute of Lifelong Learning (ILLL), University of Delhi, and the Department of Social Work, Northern Michigan University, USA, is organizing a short-term training program on "Social Audit as a Tool of Social Work Practice" from February 27th to March 4th, 2024. The program will be held at the Committee Room, ILLL, A.R.C. Building, and aims to equip social work practitioners, researchers, and students with the knowledge and skills to conduct social audits, a crucial tool for promoting transparency, accountability, and social justice in various settings. The training program will cover theoretical and practical aspects of social audit, case studies, and group discussions.
The Competence Enhancement Scheme (CES) is a pet project of Prof. Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi. The Competence Enhancement Scheme aims to achieve various outcomes, including: enhancing entrepreneurs' businesses through new skills and technology, improving managerial skills of middle-level personnel, providing opportunities for higher education to those who couldn't pursue it earlier, enhancing senior citizens' knowledge and skills, up skilling traditional artisans and workers through modern technology, building confidence and purpose among students, utilizing university resources effectively, increasing student mobility, and enabling society to adapt to evolving business and work needs. The scheme aims to promote lifelong learning, skill development, and social mobility, leading to personal and professional growth, and contributing to the betterment of society. In this scheme, 180 registrations in the session 23-24. Presently, applicants of CES are depositing their fees for the year 2024-25.
